French national airline Air France has joined the increasingly longer list of airlines to have inflight WiFi. 2 of its Airbus A330s and Boeing 777 aircraft have already been fitted out with Gogo’s 2Ku satellite tech, which is capable of delivering significantly faster signals than that of the airline's current Boeing 787 aircraft. 28 more aircraft are due to be fitted with inflight WiFi before the end of 2018.


Pricing tiers are also present therefore determine what access you have to the internet. For messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook messenger and Apple iMessage, it is free.

For web access and email, the “Surf” pass costs $4.89 AUD for a short flight and $8.16 aud a medium range flight. For a long distance flight the pass is $13,08 and for one hour and $29.38 AUD for for the entire flight.The creme de la crop of the passes that will give you the highest streaming capable speeds, is priced at $47.92 AUD for the entire journey.



Air France’s Airbus A320 aircraft fleet (from the A318 to the A321) which cover short to medium range destinations across Europe, are also getting high speed inflight WiFi from the end of the year ,with a KU brand satellite system.The remainder of the Air France fleet will be outfitted by 2020.

Australia's national airline, Qantas, has just announced that its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will fly to Hong Kong from December 2018!. As of current, Qantas operates the Airbus A330 aircraft, Boeing 747-400 aircraft (due to be retired from service in 2020) and the Airbus A380 aircraft to Hong Kong. The announcement of the new destination for the 787-9 Dreamliner,compliments its existing routes to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and London.


The Dreamliner offers a very quiet , smooth and fuel and environmentally efficient ride. Qantas has configured the 787-9 Dreamliner in business class, premium economy and economy configuration.There are 42 business class seats in 1-2-1 configuration, offering each business class passenger direct aisle access with lie flat beds, large and responsive TV screens, as well as powerpoints for your electronic devices and nice cancelling headphones. There are 28 premium economy seats in 2-3-2 configuration and 166 economy seats in 3-3-3 configuration. The absence of first class is typical, as most airlines have now ditched first class and focused their business class and introduction of premium economy.

Every year, Skytrax presents the World Airline Awards, which are known as "The Oscars of the Aviation Industry", as the highest performing airlines receive the awards. The highly independent nature of the awards, means the process is very legitimate.
