Melbourne , the second most liveable city in the world , a melting pot of diverse cultures and the sporting capital of the world. I am very proud to call this city my home. Year round there is just so much to do. With summer very nearly here, it is time to defrost take the layers of clothings off and soak up the warm , longer days.
1. Australian Open January 20th 2020 -2 February 2020. The first major tennis grand slam of the year, the Australian Open attracts the world's best tennis players and also has world class live entertainment from some household names and delicious bites to eat, as well as fun events such as the Ballpark for the little ones. All in all it has an electric atmosphere for all ages. Ground Pass will get you access to matches on the Melbourne Park Courts whilst Stadium Pass will allow you entry into the arenas where the big names play it out. Melbourne Park is currently undergoing major development with more open space and shade, increased seating capacity, better connections to public transport and the city, and easier movement into and within the precinct.

2. Go for a drive to Morning Peninsula, dotted with beautiful beaches, where you can stop at Safety Beach in Dromana. It affords some beautiful views of Port Phillip Bay and has some good places to get some fish and chips to enjoy on the beach and get some Vitamin D.

3. Walk through Hosier Lane. A constantly changing free external gallery filled graffiti, it is one of Melbourne's most iconic attraction always attracting tourists from all over the country and the world. If you are lucky, you might even see an artist working on their piece . Urban apparel store Culture Kings is also located in Hosier Lane and always features different giant murals of celebrities on its walls.

4.Grab a bite to eat and satisfy your sweet tooth with crazy thickshakes at Three One 2 One on Bridge Road, Richmond . They offer breakfast, lunch, munches on the side, hot dogs and of course their famed thickshakes. Drinks wise they have their famed milkshakes, ciders, beer, cocktails, coffee and tea. 5. Enjoy NYE in the City CBD!. There are several vantage points which offer the best seat in the house . One such spot is Federation Square, another is The Docklands. There are plenty of awesome parties/events going on as well you can suss out on the nye.com.au/melbourne website
