Probably the most well known Australian capital city to a lot of tourists around the world, the bustling city of Sydney is a must visit. Below are my Top 5 Things To Do in Sydney based on my recommendations.

1. Go to the famous Bondi Beach which is the film location of the TV show “Bondi Rescue”. This beautiful icon of Sydney attracts large amounts of visitors every year, especially on the warmer days. Stroll along the beach and view the seawall lined with incredible street art, say gday to the lifeguards, and get a bite to eat at Bondi Icebergs Club, known for its swimming pools where you can do laps and its magnificent location overlooking the cliffs and Pacific Ocean.

2.Have lunch at “Vic on George” a cute restaurant tucked away on the third level of Myer Sydney, and relax after doing some shopping. Get a table near the window and enjoy views looking down on the intersection of George Street.

3. Explore Sydney Harbour which is a major seaport, attracting huge cruise ships from around the world (if you’re lucky , at the right time, usually around 6pm, you’ll get to see the ships leave), take in the atmosphere attracting street performers and artists. The world famous Opera House is located opposite the also iconic Harbour Bridge. You can catch an opera performance or simply take a selfie with this awesome landmark or get a drink and eat dinner at the Opera House Kitchen with amazing views of the Harbour.

4. Walk through the nature lover’s paradise Royal Botanic Garden Sydney home to many species of plants and trees as well as “The Calyx” which is home to “Plants that Bite” housing carnivorous plants such as the Venus FlyTrap, Pitcher Plant , Lobster Pot Plant, and Flypaper Plant.

5. Walk through the Sydney CBD and marvel at historic and heritage listed architecture characterising the city . Go to the Lindt Cafe in Martin Place and satisfy your sweet tooth.

It was the sight of the tragic "Sydney Siege" that took place in 2014 resulting in the deaths of Lindt manager Tori Johnson and lawyer Katrina Dawson during a harrowing overnight situation. There are plaques inside commemorating both killed and good to see back in normal operation
