DAY 3 Vietnam: Da Nang

Writer's picture: Ellie NikolovskiEllie Nikolovski

After 2 overcast days, the sun finally came out today!.

By now a regular dining spot, I went to Table 88 and had frosted cornflakes with sides of two prawn and dumplings and steamed rice with the usual latte!. I then took a cab and revisted Hoi An. I went to a renown tailor called Yaly, where they helped tailored me a suit (blazer and pants) for work back home!. This was I would say was a unique experience for me and definitely one of my highlights so far on my stay in Vietnam. The tailoring process started with me looking through the catalogue given to me by one of the tailors at Yala, and picking out the suit I liked most. I then went upstairs where I help choose my colour, fabric and lining of my suit , before being measured and height taken with photographs of me being taken of me front on, side on and back with my corresponding height.

Afterwards, I continued walking enjoying the beautiful weather with the sun shining, purchasing a few goods and finally leaving at 3pm back to the hotel where I had a Vietnamese Coffee (which has condensed milk in it) for the first time, before going to the poolside lounge and enjoying the view of the pool and South China Sea.

Dinner tonight was at the Table 88 with a seafood buffet!. As per usual there was a very wide selection , I indulged with some prawns, fried crabs, steamed rice and oysters!
