DAY 1 Vietnam: Da Nang

Writer's picture: Ellie NikolovskiEllie Nikolovski

After a heavy day of flying and sleeping in the day before, the first day staying at the Sheraton Grand Da Nang, was started with buffet breakfast at Table 88!. There was a great variety of food, and i enjoyed bacon, hash browns and a chocolate croissant with all bran cereal and a very good latte!. After breakfast, I took a taxi to Hoi An, a very busy yet culturally enriching place , which ,for a first time visitor ,like me can be very overwhelming to take in at once.

Regardless, i still enjoyed the chaos and Vietnamese culture filled with hanging baskets, conical hats, motor scooters/bikes beeping and driving everywhere, and selling things !. The place attracts many visitors and is one of the top 10 to visit places in Vietnam. After walking around exploring the nooks and crannies of Hoi An, I sat down and enjoyed a coca cola at The Shamrock Irish Pub Hoi An.

I then continued walking around and made my way to “Yala” a male and female tailor, that builds you a suit from scratch . Afterwards, I got a taxi back to the hotel and enjoyed a very rejuvenating 1 hour“Relaxation” massage at “Shine Spa”, back at my hotel Sheraton Grand Da Nang. I had a very professional masseur and afterwards felt brand new before being offered ginger tea, which is very healthy for you!.

All in all it was a eventful day ended by a great steak at "The Grill"

Below are only a select amount of photos I had taken of Hoi An, there are many more, but these are my favourite !
